I Was Made To Feel Really Welcome

IMGA0019

I began boxing about years ago. My aim was to get fit and also be able to protect myself. I use to spend the majority of my time doing cardio in the gym which not only got boring but wasn’t any results. Boxing has made me feel fitter and more toned it has also raised my confidence; another big factor is that I’m still not bored.

It was quite daunting joining a boxing gym as it is considered a typically male sport but I was made to feel really welcome by the instructors and by the other people I trained with.

I started training once a week, and found I enjoyed it so much I started training twice a week I now train three times a week.

I was apprehensive that i could get hurt but that has never been the case. Even though boxing is considered an aggressive sport, no one at elite is aggressive towards one another in fact there’s a friendly atmosphere in the gym, everyone is there learning a controlled technical skill, getting fit and having a good workout.

The instructors are encouraging and have a great balance between discipline and making the class fun. The classes are small so everyone gets personal attention and I love how flexible the class’s are with regards to days and times.

Everyone’s really friendly, there’s a great high energy atmosphere, and high quality teaching and you’re made to feel part of the team this is why I recommend Elite to anyone who’s interested in boxing or Thai boxing.

I didn’t have any plans to compete when I first started but I now want to test myself and I am training to fight.
