Halliwell’s Joe Peel Adds Another Northwest Title Triumph

Halliwell ABC’s rising star Joe Peel has secured his latest Northwest Championship victory with another masterclass performance in the Senior final.

Known as ‘The Real Deal’, Peel has stormed back onto the scene since recovering from a recent injury setback and is now headed for the next round of the National Championships.

Peel is a former National Youth Champion already and has represented his country on the amateur stage, but he’s proved once again why he’s one of the most exciting young talents in the UK.

After a recent stoppage success in the previous round and a dominant decision before that, Peel rallied to another dominant decision to earn his latest Northwest victory and progress to the nationals.

He goes through to the next round of NAGBC’s alongside stablemates Sam Aki and Aaliyah Seema, who are also top fighters making plenty of noise in England amateur boxing.

“A big thank you to all my coaches and everyone at the gym for all they do,” Peel said after his superb victory. “Respect to all my opponents. All glory to God.”

Speaking after Peel’s impressive display to capture another title, Elite Head Coach Alex Matvienko was full of praise.

“For many years, we’ve had regional, national finalists and national champions, as well as an Olympian, all very talented,” he stated

“But here is another name for the future, Joe Peel, who just won the Northwest finals in the NAGBCs.

“He is extremely talented and has a great style to watch. We're very proud of this one.

“On to the next champ, you’re doing yourself, your family and club, Halliwell ABC, proud.”

Peel will return to the ring in the coming days for his latest quest to become national champion once again, this time as a senior.
